Service to All Relations Charter School - STAR Pupils

Flagstaff Daily Sun - 3/25/02 - Beautifying a roadside junkyard halfway between Flagstaff and the Navajo reservation community of Leupp isn't required by the Arizona academic standards.  Neither is making juniper juice or lasting through cloudy days in a school building powered almost solely by the sun.  But it's through activities like these that staff at Service to All Relations (STAR) Charter School hope to provide students with not only the knowledge required by all Arizona schools but also an understanding and appreciation of their immediate surroundings.  Click here for full story.

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) Surpasses the One-megawatt Capacity Milestone in Photovoltaic Solar Generation

TUCSON, Ariz. - 10/01/01 - Tucson Electric Power Co. (TEP) has surpassed the

Commission Issues Mandate Requiring Renewable Energy Technologies

PHOENIX, Arizona - 3/29/01 - Arizona is one of the leading states in the nation to support the use of renewable energy sources for electric power generation.  In May 2000, the Arizona Corporation Commission adopted a renewable portfolio standard requiring that utilities derive a portion of their electricity through renewable sources.  The May decision ordered Commission staff to begin the rulemaking process.  The Commission on  Tuesday (3-27-01) voted to codify the Environmental Portfolio Standard, as it's now known, as a formal rule.  Click here for more information.
